I tutor the IB Extended Essay with a focus on getting the research question, structure and argument right before students start drafting. I’ve worked with essays in English, History and Global Politics, often helping students rescue topics that were too broad. My sessions are practical: we look at sources, paragraph logic, supervisor comments and the reflection forms, then set clear edits for the next draft.

Hi, I’m an IB Extended Essay tutor and I’m a bit of a research-methods nerd. I mainly help students who know their subject but feel stuck turning ideas into a proper 4,000-word investigation. I’m good with messy first drafts, awkward research questions and literature-based EEs. I’ll be honest about what needs cutting, but I’m not the scary red-pen type. Students usually come to me when the supervisor feedback suddenly feels very real.

I’ve supported IB Extended Essay students for eight years, including many who were balancing the EE with TOK deadlines and final exam revision. My strongest area is Humanities, especially History and Politics essays where evidence, historiography and line of argument matter. I usually begin with the proposal and bibliography, then work through planning, drafting and final polish. I’m careful about academic honesty and keep the work firmly student-led.

I help IB students with the Extended Essay from the very early ‘I have no idea what to write about’ stage through to the final reflection. My background is in English and education, so I spend a lot of time on argument, academic phrasing and how to use criticism properly. I’m relaxed in lessons, but quite picky about vague introductions and unsupported claims. I also check that the essay stays within the chosen subject criteria.

I specialise in IB Extended Essay support for students writing in Psychology, English or World Studies. I’ve marked lots of practice essays privately, so I’m used to spotting where analysis becomes description. Lessons are usually shared-screen and document based: we go through the draft together, fix weak sections, and make sure the reflections actually sound like the student. I’m direct, but I’ll explain every suggested change.

I’m an IB Extended Essay tutor with a research background in Sociology and Education. I often work with students who have good ideas but struggle to organise them into a clear 4,000-word essay. Sessions are practical and usually involve planning sections, checking whether evidence is doing enough work, and improving reflections. I’m particularly comfortable with World Studies, Psychology and social science-based essays.
